Critical care Registered Nursing Pediatric Exam
The CCRN-Pediatric certification exam is for those nurses who provide direct care to acutely ill pediatric patients besides their physical location. Nurses may work in departments such as intensive care units, cardiac care units, combined ICUs, medical ICUs, trauma units, and critical care transport slights after completing this nursing certification. Moreover, the CCRN- Pediatric nursing certifications are provided by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurse Certification Corporation. This nursing certification checks candidate knowledge and skills if they are capable of treating critically ill pediatric patients or not. Furthermore, the CCRN-Pediatric certification contains 150 multiple-choice questions of which 125 are scored and the remaining 25 are unscored. The exam costs $25 for AACN members and $365 for non-members.

Candidates get 3 hours to complete the exam. They need to score 70% or 88 correct answers to pass the certification exam.
Eligibility
- The candidate should have completed U.S. and Canadian Based critical care nurse practice facilities on U.S based standards.
- An individual must be a registered nurse with no restrictions on their license of any type in order to take the CCRN Neonatal Exam.
- The applicant must have completed at least 1,750 hours of prenatal care-related work in an acute care setting, 875 hours of which must have been accomplished in the year before the applicant’s application.
- For two years 1,750 hours are required and for five years 2,000 hours of nursing experience are required.
- Candidates who worked as a manager, educators, preceptors, or APRNs are also allowed to take this certification exam.
- After completing the eligibility you can register yourself for this certification and take the exam on both online and onsite platforms.
- These are able to be verified by your clinical supervisor or another expert (RN or physician). If you are chosen for an audit, your contact information must be submitted in order to verify your eligibility with regard to clinical hours.
