The PCCN Nursing certifications enhance your knowledge and expertise for acutely ill adult patients. The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) Certification Corporation issues the three-year-valid credential. These are the AACN_PCCN exam qualification criteria:
Have you worked as a registered nurse (RN) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) for at least five years and provided at least 2,000 hours of direct care to severely unwell adult patients, with 144 of those hours accrued in the year before the exam application? If so, you are eligible to take the exam and are on your path to becoming a PCCN! Moreover, the exam consists of 125 multiple-choice questions with a 2.5-time duration. The exam cost $195 for members and $300 for nonmembers. If the candidate wants to take retake PCCN then he should pay $135 for ACCN members and $215 for nonmembers. Payment can be made with a credit card when submitting an application online. Application fee payments accepted by mail include credit card, cheque, and money order. If a group of 10 or more people submits their applications in the same envelope, there are savings available.
